3 mattresses I'd buy in Simba's 20% off sale
Simba Hybrid Original Mattress: was from £599 now from £497.17 at Simba
The Simba Hybrid Original mattress is the brand’s flagship model, offering fantastic eco-friendly credentials for a reasonable price. In our Simba Hybrid Original mattress review, our testers particularly rated the bed for back and stomach sleepers as you’ll sleep on top of the mattress rather than sinking in. A double is currently reduced to £647.19 (RRP £799), and you’ll get free next day delivery, a 200-night trial and 10-year guarantee.
2. Simba Hybrid Pro Mattress: was from £799 now from £647.19 at Simba
We haven’t tested the Simba Hybrid Pro mattress yet, but customer reviews suggest that it, too, is best suited to back and stomach sleepers. The mattress also uses a layer of wool, which is known to be naturally temperature-regulating, so this could be a good choice if you’re prone to sleeping warm. A double is currently £942.18 (RRP £1,149), and you’ll get the same benefits as with the Hybrid Original.
3. Simba Hybrid Luxe Mattress: was from £1,199 now from £995.17 at Simba
The Simba Hybrid Luxe mattress offers eight layers of comfort, giving most sleepers a comfortable night’s sleep. In our Simba Hybrid Luxe mattress review, our testers enjoyed sleeping in all positions on the mattress, although some side sleepers may enjoy a slightly softer bed. Edge support is excellent, and temperature regulation was good, meaning sleepers shouldn’t overheat at night. A double is reduced to £1,699 (RRP £1,342.21).
Is right now a good time to buy a new mattress?
20% off is a generous discount and is worth considering if you need a mattress right now. However, Black Friday is almost upon us - hitting at the end of November. Last year Simba offered a huge discount of 45% on its best mattresses including the three mattresses we’ve recommended here. Based on this history, we think it's likely you could get a much bigger saving by waiting a few weeks.
This brought a double Simba Hybrid mattress down to £439.45, which is a much bigger saving compared to the £647.19 it's available for now. The luxury Simba Hybrid Luxe was available from £659.45 - that’s an over £300 saving from the current price. There were also big savings on kids mattresses, bed bases, pillows and more

Jo Plumridge is an experienced mattress reviewer with several years' experience covering all things mattresses and sleep, and who tests memory foam, hybrid and organic mattresses. What Jo doesn't know about a boxed mattress isn't worth knowing, so naturally we tasked her with producing a series of features for Tom's Guide looking at all aspects of mattresses, from how to pick between latex and memory foam (it's a tricky one), to the seven mistakes people make when buying a mattress for the first time. When testing the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid for Tom's Guide, Jo said: "I loved the back support and pressure relief it offered. Plus, it looks far more expensive than it is." When she isn’t writing about sleep, Jo also writes extensively on interior design, home products and photography.
