Amazon Prime Day is almost, with the massive sales event finishing at midnight tonight. With the exception of Black Friday, you’re unlikely to see better laptops deal here in the U.K. over the next 48 hours.

I’ve been scouring Amazon for the best Prime Day laptop discounts, and I’ve picked a bunch out that span a variety of different components and price brackets. So if you’re a prosumer who needs a powerful portable PC for video editing or are a student looking for a budget laptop just in time for going back to school, some of the best laptops have seen their prices slashed for Prime Day. Here are some of my favourite deals.

Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 11: was £289 now £159 @ Amazon

Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 11: was £289 now £159 @ Amazon
This slick 2-in-1 laptop is one of the best Chromebooks we’ve tested. Available in fetching Misty Blue, this Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered IdeaPad boasts an impressive 10.95-inch 2K display (2000 x 1200) that can hit a respectable 400 nits of peak brightness. You only get 4GB of RAM, so this really is designed to be used as a Netflix machine or to web browse. You should also consider picking up an external SSD, seeing as this config of the IdeaPad Duet 3 only has 64GB of storage.

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3: was £524 now £379 @ Amazon

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3: was £524 now £379 @ Amazon
A good-looking Lenovo laptop with super skinny bezels that comes in an alluring Abyss Blue. Weighing in at only 3.02 pounds, this is an ultraportable machine that will prove ideal for that daily commute. This configuration features an Intel Core i5-12450H CPU, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.

Acer Aspire 3 15: was £649 now £429 @ Amazon

Acer Aspire 3 15: was £649 now £429 @ Amazon
A cool £220 saving on a laptop that comes from a range we’ve always been fond of. For comfortably less than £500, you get a svelte 15.6-inch laptop with an Intel Core i5-1235U CPU, 16GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, 720p webcam and a 1080p IPS screen.

Dell Inspiron 16: was £699 now £549 @ Amazon

Dell Inspiron 16: was £699 now £549 @ Amazon
This is a pretty sweet deal that knocks £150 off the Inspiron 16. Its 16-inch 1080p screen (1920 x 1200) offers  surprisingly decent picture quality. Alongside this, you'll find an AMD Ryzen 7-8840U CPU, 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.

Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 14: was £1,349 now £820 @ Amazon

Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 14: was £1,349 now £820 @ Amazon
An extremely tasty 39% discount means you’re saving a lovely £529 on this Samsung laptop. That’s a pretty great price for a 1080p OLED laptop (1920 x 1080), and those endlessly inky blacks should make this Galaxy Book 3 Pro an excellent choice if you want to watch the best streaming services on it. It’s not exactly a beast with a Gen 13 Intel Core i5 CPU and 8GB of RAM, but having an OLED screen makes up for a lot.

Asus Zenbook 14 OLED: was £1,399 now £899 @ Amazon

Asus Zenbook 14 OLED: was £1,399 now £899 @ Amazon
The Asus ZenBook 14X is a mainstream laptop sporting a 2.8K (2880 x 1800) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also boasts an Intel Core i9-13500H CPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. It's on sale for just $899, which is great value for a 14-inch OLED laptop. It makes our best budget laptops list as the best cheap laptop with an OLED display.

Dell XPS 13 (2024): was £1,649 now £1,359ACT FAST!

Dell XPS 13 (2024): was £1,649 now £1,359
ACT FAST! Yes, there are cheaper XPS 13 laptops out there (this one here costs $599), but this is the configuration you want. This is a limited time deal on a laptop that features a 13.4-inch 1920 x 1200 LCD display, an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU, 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. It also looks fantastic with really thin bezels to make the most of the small footprint.
