Black Friday date and details
When is Black Friday?
Black Friday falls on a different day each year. It's celebrated the Friday after Thanksgiving in the U.S. — that means it falls on the 29th of November this year. As for Cyber Monday, it will fall on the following Monday, the 2nd of December. However, Black Friday deals don't just last for one day. We're already starting to see Black Friday-worthy deals at retailers like Amazon, Currys and more.
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is a deals event held every year in November. Retailers tend to launch their biggest sales of the year during Black Friday, to encourage buyers to start their Christmas shopping. It's a great opportunity to find discounted TVs, laptops, apparel and everything in between.
Black Friday deals and Apple
Apple Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals are always in high demand, largely because the Apple Store rarely runs sales. Because of that, I recommend turning to other retailers like Amazon, Currys and Argos. In the past we've seen a range of Apple products discounted, from AirPods Pro to iPads to MacBooks.
Apple sometimes bundles products together — like free AirPods when you buy a MacBook. There's also a chance to score gift cards with purchase.
Black Friday deals and next-gen consoles
Chances are higher than previous years of seeing discounted consoles on Black Friday. Earlier this year, I've seen retailers offer $50 off the PS5 Slim and Xbox Series X. I've also seen Woot take $50 off the Nintendo Switch OLED. Keep an eye out and act fast if you see a discounted console deal that you want — they tend to sell out fast.
There are also bound to be bundle deals on consoles, too. Right now you can score a Nintendo Switch Lite bundled with a copy of Animal Crossing New Horizons and a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership at Currys, as well as other retailers.
We're also likely to see deals on PS5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch games and accessories. Black Friday is the perfect time of year to kit out your console with essentials.
