Marshall Honorof
Marshall Honorof is a senior editor for Tom's Guide, overseeing the site's coverage of gaming hardware and software. He comes from a science writing background, having studied paleomammalogy, biological anthropology, and the history of science and technology.
After earning a B.A. in Writing Seminars from Johns Hopkins University, Marshall started his journalism career at The Escapist as a news writer and game reviewer. Since then, he has covered a variety of topics for Tom’s Guide, including security, streaming and productivity.
Over the past decade, Marshall has helped establish Tom’s Guide as a top destination for gaming hardware reviews. After launching the site’s very first buying guide, which was about gaming mice, he branched off into keyboards, headsets, monitors, desktops, laptops and gaming consoles. So far, he has covered the launch of the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as the flagship games for each system.
Marshall is also a veteran of tech industry trade shows, having covered CES, E3, IFA, GDC, NYCC, PAX East, PAX West, SXSW and a variety of smaller events.
After hours, you can find him practicing taekwondo or doing deep dives on classic sci-fi. When he’s not reviewing games for work, he prefers to play RPGs and strategy titles.
