This $369 Roku TV is the best early Prime Day TV deal for budget-shoppers looking for a simple way to stream

Amazon Prime Day is one of the best sales events of the year for TVs, and it's all because of the timing. This year, Prime Day begins in June, which is around the time when retailers like Amazon are making one last push to sell models from the previous year. This means that some of the best and most popular sets are at (or near) their lowest price to date.

Thanks to this dynamic, you don't have to wait until June 23 to score early Prime Day TV deals. In fact, right now, my favorite early Prime Day deal involves a TV that specializes in easy streaming.

The 55-inch Roku Plus Series is just $369 at Amazon ahead of Prime Day's official kickoff. It's my go-to recommendation for folks who just want a simple, easy-to-use TV for streaming movies, shows and sports — and it's well under four hundred bucks.

Roku 55" Plus Series 4K Mini-LED TV: was $499 now $369 at Amazon

The Roku Plus Series is a budget-friendly 4K TV that offers a simple-but-powerful backdrop for all of your streaming needs. It's not the brightest TV on the block, but its inclusion of local dimming is very much worth having at this price point. It's good enough for casual gamers, but serious gamers might want to spend more on something more suited to their lifestyle. If all you want is an easy-to-use TV that simplifies streaming, the Roku Plus Series is a solid pick.

The Roku Plus Series isn't as bright as fancier, higher-end TVs, nor is it packed with a ton of gaming features. However, when it comes to basic performance fundamentals, it leap-frogs over other TVs in this ultra-low price range thanks to one key feature: Mini-LEDs.

Unlike dirt-cheap, entry-level models that leverage edge-lit screens, the Roku Plus Series leverages Mini-LED backlighting with local dimming for improved contrast. So, while it's not as punchy as some more-premium options, its hardware nevertheless puts it a step above bottom-of-the-barrel sets.

But the main attraction of the Plus Series is its built-in software. I don't own a Roku TV, but even still, I use a dedicated Roku device everyday on account of its simple interface and vast library of downloadable apps. The Plus Series puts the entire Roku experience into the TV itself, with no added hardware needed.

The Roku Plus Series is a 2025 model, which means its stock isn't guaranteed to last through the entire Prime Day sales event. If you want to save on a budget-friendly Roku TV, it might be wise to get a jump on Prime Day.
