The Walmart PS5 restock event is over. All PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles have sold out as of 6 pm ET. If you missed this wave of restocks, don't give up hope. It's only a matter of time before the next Walmart restock event. In the meantime, below you'll find a few tips on what to do as you await the next console drop.

When is the next Walmart restock event?

Walmart doesn't advertise when it will have PS5 or Xbox Series X restock events. So your best bet is to check the product pages as they'll usually offer a heads up. However, you'll only get about a 30-minutes notice. 

Once the consoles are available, you'll have to act lightning fast to secure a console and purchase it. So it's worth creating a Walmart.com account if you don't already have one. Have your address, credit card info, and other details ready to go, so if you happen to get a console in your cart, you can rapidly check out and confirm your purchase.  

What happens if I don't score a console

Walmart is taking lots of precautions to ensure the consoles go to consumers and not scalpers. That said, many people want these consoles, so sometimes it's easy to miss out on a restock event.
