Presidents' Day mattress sales 2025: The best early deals to shop now

Saatva's Presidents' Day sale takes $400 off all mattresses over $1,000

Presidents’ Day mattress sales are less than two weeks away. One trend we're noticing is bigger than average discounts on luxury mattresses and adjustable bed bundles. That includes $400 off all mattresses over $1,000 at Saatva and up to $500 off mattresses and adjustable bases at Tempur-Pedic.

Saatva and Tempur-Pedic make some of the best mattresses on the market, and holidays usually represent the greatest savings for either brand. A queen Saatva Classic drops to $1,699 (was $2,099) after $400 off, which is the biggest discount you'll see for this bed. Tempur-Pedic doesn't cut prices for its current lineup often, so any savings there are worth your consideration.

However, if you're looking to spend a lot less, we've spotted a queen-size Linenspa Spring and Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress for $106 at Walmart. Regularly around $250, that's a fantastic price for any hybrid mattress. It's an excellent pickup if you need to freshen up a guestroom on the fly.

As you browse this year's Presidents’ Day sales, you'll find familiar offers from the likes of DreamCloud and Nectar, which dress their evergreen discounts up for holidays. That doesn't mean those deals aren't worth buying — they're an excellent value no matter the time of year — but you won't have to worry about missing out on them because they'll be there when Presidents' Day is over.

On the other hand, you'll want to keep an eye on deals from Brooklyn Bedding and Helix this Presidents' Day weekend. As we observed last year, both brands rolled out much higher savings than usual around major holidays, with max discounts of 30%. Helix may once again upgrade its freebies from its standard pair of pillows to an entire bedding bundle, too.

This month's mattress sales are poised to be some of the strongest we'll see all year thanks to Presidents' Day. We're regularly updating this hub with all of the latest offers so you don't miss a thing. Head below for the best early Presidents' Day mattress deals we're seeing right now...

The Saatva Classic is the best hybrid mattress we've tested for most sleepers. It scored a 5/5 in our Saatva Classic mattress review with our reviewers praising it for pressure relief (less aches and pains while sleeping) and lower back support. The Classic also looks like a luxury hotel mattress and the handcrafted build quality is very good. It won't support weights over 600lbs (heavy couples could look at the DreamCloud below instead), but otherwise this is an excellent mattress that suits all sleep positions. Saatva's Presidents' Day mattress sale takes $400 off all mattresses over $1,000, bringing a queen down to $1,699 (was $2,099.) That matches the best price we saw for it in 2024. This huge saving makes this our top pick from the 2025 Presidents' Day mattress sales.

This is the cheap mattress deal to buy in this year's Presidents' Day mattress sales right now. It costs $240 at Amazon and retails for $250 at Linenspa. There are a few things to keep in mind, though. It has an 8" profile, which won't suit most adults for nightly use. Thus, we recommend it for a guestroom or even a kid's bedroom. You'll also have to be patient as this boxed mattress will take days to expand. (Otherwise, you may have some unhappy guests!) But if we're being blunt, the real selling point here isn't so much its performance as it is the super low price. Our Linenspa Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress review has more details on what you can expect. Note that this item is sold by a third-party seller (America's E-Commerce LLC) but it's still backed by Walmart's 30-day return policy.

3. DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid Mattress (queen): $665 at DreamCloud SleepOur review: ★★★★½User score: ★★★★½

3. DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid Mattress (queen): $665 at DreamCloud Sleep

If you like the Saatva but have a smaller budget, or you and your partner weigh over 600lbs combined, then the DreamCloud is a good alternative. It doesn't compare to the Saatva in terms of overall build quality, performance, or level of organic and natural materials, but considering it costs $665 for a queen versus $1,799 for a Saatva, the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid is great value. Our DreamCloud mattress review team found it especially comfy for stomach and back sleeping, but lightweight side sleepers should consider the Zinus below instead. DreamCloud's Presidents' Day sale is essentially just a new skin on the same sale we see year-round, but it still represents incredible value. Despite not being a new saving, this is still one of the best mattress deals you can find right now.

4Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress (queen): $599 now $379 at ZinusOur review: ★★★½User score: ★★★★

For a budget mattress that's a little more accommodating for adult sleepers than the 8" Linenspa hybrid above, this 10" Zinus all-foam mattress is our pick. Based on our Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress review, we recommend it for side sleepers and smaller back sleepers who'll benefit from its robust pressure relief and medium feel. Motion isolation is excellent, but avoid this one if you're a hot sleeper as it's prone to trapping heat. If you want to spend even less, a queen Zinus Memory Foam Mattress is available for only $219.98 at Amazon, but you'll miss out on Zinus' 100-night mattress trial. Either way, you'll get a 10-year warranty.

5. Nectar Classic Memory Foam Mattress (queen): $649 at NectarOur review: ★★★★½User score: ★★★★½

5. Nectar Classic Memory Foam Mattress (queen): $649 at Nectar

Like its labelmate DreamCloud, Nectar runs an evergreen sale that seldom changes, even during major holidays. The current Nectar mattress sale cuts the price of a queen Nectar Classic to $649, which is an outstanding price for what we deem the best memory foam mattress overall. We found it supportive for any sleep position and most body types. (That's an improvement over the Nectar Original, which we thought was better suited for small-to-average side and back sleepers.) It may be denser than your average foam mattress, but as we note in our Nectar Classic Memory Foam Mattress review, the top layer of pressure-relieving foam tempers that firmness nicely. Adding to an already impressive value are a one-year home trial and a forever warranty.

6. Helix Midnight Mattress (queen): $1,373.75 now $1,099 at Helix

The Helix Midnight Luxe is our top-ranked mattress for side sleepers, but if it's out of your price range, the mid-range Helix Midnight is a sound alternative. We also recommend the original Helix Midnight for side sleepers who like more of that sink-in softness, as the Midnight Luxe has a lifted feel. In our Helix Midnight Mattress review, we praised its soothing pressure relief and excellent motion isolation. While you can buy it now for 20% off plus a pair of free pillows, there's a chance we'll see that discount increase to 25% or 27% the closer we get to Presidents' Day, potentially dropping the price of a queen Helix Midnight by another $100. But if you can't wait and want to advantage of this Helix mattress sale instead, you're still getting a good deal on a great hybrid mattress. It comes with a 10-year warranty and a 100-night trial.

7. Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Adapt Mattress (queen): $2,199 now $2,099 at Tempur-PedicOur review: ★★★★½User score: ★★★★½

A $100 discount may not seem like much, but considering how rare Tempur-Pedic mattress sales are for current models, any savings is a good one. This is the lowest price for any Tempur-Pedic mattress that doesn't come rolled and packed in a box. In our Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Adapt review, we rated it high for pressure relief and overall support. (Tempur Material is amazing for soothing those aches and pains.) It also has sturdy edges, which isn't common praise for all-foam mattresses. On the other hand, it traps heat so consider upgrading to one of Tempur's cooling models if you're a hot sleeper. (Tempur-Breeze mattresses are $300 off right now.) The amenities are weak compared to other luxury brands (90-night trial and 10-year warranty), but free in-home delivery is a nice perk.

President’s Day mattress sales 2025: Our predictions

We've been tracking the Presidents' Day mattress deals for years. These are our predictions for 2025's sale based on what we've seen during previous years...

1. Early sales will start arriving late January

Throughout last year, deals for major mattress sales starting appearing up to a few weeks before the actual sale was supposed to launch (or in the case of Black Friday, a month before). As Presidents' Day isn't as well known as Black Friday, we think the earliest sales will start appearing the week commencing January 27 and into early February.

2. Most sales prices will match Black Friday

Gone are the days of deep discounts being limited to Black Friday. Many major brands like Saatva and Helix will roll out the same sales for every major sales period, meaning that if you missed out on a Black Friday sale, you could find the very same offers available this February.

3. DreamCloud and Nectar sales won't change

Resident Home brands Nectar and DreamCloud are behind two of the best mattresses in a box we have tested: the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid and the Nectar Classic Memory Foam Mattress. Both have been running an up to 50% off sale for over a year and right now you can save up to 66% on mattress and bed bundles too.

During Black Friday last year you could have saved an extra $100 on Nectar and DreamCloud orders worth $1,000 or more, but we doubt that discount will return for Presidents' Day 2025. So today's Nectar mattress deals and DreamCloud mattress sales contain the cheapest prices we're likely to see.

4. Helix will offer 25% off plus free bedding

Helix Sleep is another major online brand that offers frequent discounts. It's currently offering 20% off plus you'll get free pillows. We predict this discount will rise to 25% plus free pillows or even a bedding set for this year's Presidents' Day mattress sales, which is in line with what Helix did last Presidents' Day.

Last year's best Presidents' Day mattress deals

The best way to get a sense of what the best Presidents' Day mattress sales might be this year is to look at last year's best deals...

1. Saatva Classic Mattress:$1,295$895 at Saatva

1. Saatva Classic Mattress: $1,295 $895 at Saatva
The Saatva Classic is an innerspring hybrid mattress that delivers serious luxury hotel vibes for the home. We rate it as the best luxury mattress for most sleepers. 2. Emma Hybrid Comfort: $839 $419 at Emma

Presidents' Day mattress sales FAQ

When do Presidents' Day mattress sales 2025 start?

Presidents' Day takes place on Monday 17 February 2025 but as we approach the end of January we've already started to see sales appear. A lot of discounts will be sales we see most months simply dressed up as Presidents' Day offers, but a small handful will be genuinely cheaper compared to the average month. We'll be flagging those up in an 'editor's choice' section at the top of this guide.

Do stores run Presidents' Day mattress sales?

Major mattress stores always run Presidents' Day sales, and some of them can be as good as the mattress deals we see online. However, unlike online shopping, you'll need to physically travel to a brick-and-mortar store to see what discounts they're offering.

If you prefer in-store shopping, we encourage you to ask the sales staff the following questions to make sure you are getting a good deal and fair purchasing terms:

  • What is the MSRP of this mattress?
  • What is the lowest price you have sold it for recently?
  • What trial period does it come with?
  • What is the warranty period?
  • What is your refund and exchange policy?
  • Do you offer free shipping?
  • Do you offer old mattress removal either for free or at a cost?
  • How long does this Presidents' Day mattress deal last for?

Are Presidents' Day sales a good time to buy a mattress?

Presidents' Day is the first major retail holiday of the year. So if you're in the market for a new mattress, sheets, or bedding, Presidents Day mattress sales are where you'll find the deals.

That said, there are other times throughout the year where we see particularly strong mattress discounts. Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day are also excellent opportunities to purchase a new mattress.
