Now On IndieGoGo: The BluettiAC200 Portable Power Station
Isn't crowdfunding grand? You see some of the coolest products, along with the opportunity to get in at the ground level of some downright fascinating innovations. Bluetti's most recent entry on IndieGoGo is no exception.
Bluetti was founded on over a decade of experience in the clean energy space. It's a company that prides itself on sustainability and reliability, and one which is now looking to set the standard in power station innovation. This recent crowdfunding campaign draws on this expertise to great effect.
A home emergency power backup and off-grid power system designed for outdoor use, the Bluetti AC200 Portable Power Station has a massive capacity of 1700 Wh, enough to power a Tesla for an eleven-mile drive. It can produce a total of 2000 Watts of energy.
Armed with six outlets and two wireless charging pads on the top, it's capable of powering up to 17 devices simultaneously.
The AC200 can support just about any type of device as well, from smartphones and kitchen appliances to electric scooters and electric cars. Most notably, it can power a Macbook Pro to 80% in less than an hour and a half thanks to PD 60W fast charging. The AC200 is also built with longevity and durability in mind.
Thanks to the LG Auto-level battery cell, it can last for over 2500 cycles without losing out on efficiency. Each power station has also been subjected to over 1000 different internal tests by Bluetti. These tests are designed to ensure Bluetti's hardware is produced at the highest level of quality possible and include vibration, hot and cold shock, impact testing, prolonged temperature testing, accessory wire bending, and more.
Thanks to an intelligent temperature-controlled cooling fan, the AC200 Portable Power Station is also both safe and reliable. The fan automatically turns on when the system's temperature reaches 45 degrees Celsius, ensuring you can keep it running cool no matter where you are or what you're doing. The Power Station's interactive LCD touch display, meanwhile, provides you with readouts and indicators whilst also alerting you of issues and allowing you to adjust voltage, frequency, charge mode, power, and time.
For those of you concerned with going green, the AC200 is also incredibly eco-friendly and sustainable. Thanks to its built-in MPPT solar charge controller, which supports a max of 700W, you can charge it from empty to full in just three and a half hours. Its energy-efficient ECO mode, meanwhile, allows the AC200 to consume up to 50 percent less electricity compared to other power stations.
You don't just need to charge the system via solar energy, though. You can also juice it up through wall sockets, vehicle outputs, gasoline/diesel generators, or lead-acid batteries. Again, Bluetti has designed the AC200 with convenience and ease of use in mind - you can even charge it simultaneously via 700W of solar power and the 500W AC outlet input, allowing you to get it back online in just two and a half hours.
As you might expect, Bluetti's AC200 Portable Power System isn't cheap (though you get what you pay for).
The company has currently listed the product at a retail price of approximately $1,800. There's a catch to that, though. Backing the product early on IndieGoGo can score you a pretty cool discount while supplies last.

Whether you're powering a CPAP machine, setting up a TV and PS4 at a campsite, charging up an electric car on a long road trip, supporting your off-the-grid van-dwelling lifestyle, or bringing power tools into a site without electricity, Bluetti's AC200 Portable Power Station is an excellent choice.
It's clean, it's efficient, and it's intelligent. More importantly, it packs an incredible amount of power into a small, easy-to-transport kit. In short, it's everything you could possibly want in a portable power station, with none of the drawbacks they commonly carry.
