Nintendo Switch OLED restock is in plentiful supply right now. It's currently available at multiple major retailers, and coming and out of stock at several more. While we don't expect these stock levels to be maintained indefinitely, right now if you want a unit you'll have no trouble getting one.

The upgraded version of Nintendo's popular hybrid console was released in October 2021 and it initially joined the likes of the PS5 and Xbox Series X as a gaming product that instantly sold out and became extremely tricky to track down.

Even buying a regular Nintendo Switch hasn't been easy over the last 18 months, so it wasn't any surprise that eager gamers snapped up the available stock of the souped-up OLED model. Even with its current resurgence in availability, the Nintendo Switch OLED is still one of the most in-demand tech products around.

Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser has weighed in on Nintendo Switch OLED restocks, saying that, “There are no major improvements that we’ve seen on the horizon. So I think the challenges will continue into 2022.” Unfortunately, it looks like keeping a close eye on Nintendo Switch OLED restocks will continue to be a necessity over the next few months although right now the console is readily available to anyone who wants one.

If you're on the hunt for a Nintendo Switch OLED we can help, as we're tracking restocks at every major retailer and on Twitter down below. Make sure to bookmark this page and check back often for the latest updates and information.

Where to buy Nintendo Switch OLED: Check Nintendo Switch OLED restock now

As of Wednesday, April 20, the Nintendo Switch OLED is available at Best Buy and Target. We've seen a flurry of restocks recently that have stuck around for several days, which could indicate that the Nintendo Switch OLED stock shortage is finally drawing to a close.

It's not just the Nintendo Switch OLED that has suffered stock issues in recent months, Nintendo has confirmed it won't have any more stock of the special Nintendo Switch-enabled N64 controllers until some point in 2022. It looks like even scoring 25-year-old tech now requires serious restock hunting.

Nintendo Switch OLED restock — Track on Twitter

One of the best methods of finding out when Nintendo Switch OLED restock hits online retailers is by following a dedicated stock tracking Twitter account. We'd recommend following accounts such as @mattswider, @Wario64,and @Jake_Randall_YT, they are often the first to have updates on availability.

Of course, it's worth remembering that Nintendo Switch OLED restock can differ by region and be limited only to select stores, so not all restock updates will be available in your local area. Nevertheless, following a stock tracking account can you an edge when competing for limited stock drops.

How to buy Nintendo Switch OLED: Essential tips

Be prepared: Ahead of a restock make sure you have all the right payment details pre-saved on your device/retailer account. This will give you the best possible chance to buy a Nintendo Switch OLED. Units typically go very fast during restocks so if you're spending time entering your credit card number you could miss your chance to secure a Nintendo Switch OLED order.

Pick a retailer: As you can see from the above list, there are an awful lot of retailers to choose from. This can actually make the process of securing a Nintendo Switch OLED a bit complicated. We advise selecting a couple of major retailers such as Target or Best Buy and keeping an eye on their Nintendo Switch OLED landing pages. Trying to regularly check every single major retailer could lead to you missing stock.

Sign up for stock alerts: Multiple retailers offer to notify you when they have the Nintendo Switch OLED in stock. While these alerts aren't always the most reliable, we still suggest you sign up for this service at any retailer offering them. They might just tip you off to a restock.

Sign in to retailers: Ahead of a restock ensure that you've already signed into any retailers that you have an account with. If you don't already have an account, make one. Things will go a lot faster when attempting to buy a Nintendo Switch OLED if you already have an account sorted when you spot one on sale. Speed is of the essence when trying to check out after all.

Keeping refreshing: During restocks it's not uncommon for retailers to release smaller batches of stock in waves. If you jump onto a retailer's site during a drop and the Nintendo Switch OLED appears to be already sold out, don't instantly give up. Keep refreshing the product page and you may get lucky.

Don't give up: While it may feel like you'll never get hold of a Nintendo Switch OLED at times, it's important to keep trying. There will be plenty of restocks in the coming months and if you follow all of our tips above, eventually you'll be successful and score yourself a shiny new console.
