The list of all the new Netflix movies in 2023 is as huge as you might have expected. And, much like a night's sky, it's filled with stars.
This is arguably Netflix's big talking point: where else will you find Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, Adam Sandler, Kevin Hart, Millie Bobby Brown and Mahershala Ali? An awards show, maybe. One of the best streaming services? Definitely.
The likely biggest new Netflix movie of 2023 will be Damsel, a fantasy-action movie starring Millie Bobby Brown as a sword-wielding lady who has to deal with a fire-breathing dragon. Co-stars include Angela Bassett, Robin Wright and Ray Winstone.
Looking through this list, we're the most excited about Sam Esmail's thriller Leave the World Behind, an adaptation of a pager-turner of a novel that stars Julia Roberts and Mahershala Ali. The book it's based on is all about an Airbnb vacation gone horribly wrong, but it's not at all like Barbarian, which bears the same description. It's the most-likely on this list to reach our best Netflix movies list.
Elsewhere in the new movies on Netflix in 2023, Kevin Hart's got a heist in F. Gary Gray's Lift, Zack Snyder's back with Rebel Moon. Adam Sandler has three movies on this list: Murder Mystery 2 with Jennifer Aniston, the animated film Leo and the intergalactic Spaceman. You People: January 27
When a rideshare mix-up in LA brings Ezra Cohen (Jonah Hill) and Amira Mohammed (Lauren London) together, the two find themselves connecting over a shared love of streetwear and music.
