Possible Meta Quest 3 teaser
Zuckerberg decided to steal the Apple VR/AR headset's thunder after all. This morning (June 1) Meta officially announced the Meta Quest 3 and we now know a fair amount about the new headset.
The Meta CEO calls it "Our most powerful headset yet" and it is 40% slimmer than the Quest 2. It looks set to be officially launched on September 27 at this year's Meta Connect. The Quest 3 will start at $499 for a 128GB model but a larger model has been promised.
Meta Quest Pass
Finally, one thing we could have seen teased or fully announced is the rumored Meta Quest Pass — a.k.a. Project Apollo. This is a possible subscription service for Meta Quest rumors that we've seen some hints of in the past, but never anything concrete from Meta itself. An announcement at the Meta Gaming Showcase would have truly been a bombshell, but unfortunately, it was not to be.
