Ireland went into their last game with France on a high. They'd beaten Wales in their opening Six Nations game and were on a run of 10 straight victories including wins over England and New Zealand. But Les Blues were too strong for them that day, beating them 30-24 to consign their grand slam hopes to dust.
They still have high hopes of winning the Six Nations title though, and that quest resumes in Dublin on Sunday. The good news for the Irish is that talisman captain Johnny Sexton is back after missing the previous two games. He'll bring 102 caps of experience into what is already a tried and tested squad, but he's only among the replacements today.
There's a change for Ireland at full-back, where Michael Lowry makes his Ireland debut, while James Lowe has recovered from injury and is on the wing. Robbie Henshaw comes in for Bundee Aki, while Dan Sheehan and Ryan Baird are also in the team.
Italy's ambition may technically be to win, but they'd probably settle for a try or two and avoiding a hiding. The smart money says it will be Six Nations defeat number 35 on the trot, though.
Here are the teams:
Ireland: Lowry; Hansen, Ringrose, Henshaw, Lowe; Carbery, Gibson-Park; Porter, Sheehan, Furlong, Beirne, Baird, O'Mahony (capt), Van der Flier, Doris.
