Insecure season 5 episode 2, titled "Growth, Okay?!," follows up on what happened in the premiere. Issa and Molly are carefully rebuilding their friendship, and Issa broke up with Lawrence (Jay Ellis). It seems she couldn't handle moving forward after he dropped the bombshell that his ex, Condola, is pregnant. 

Now, Issa is focusing on her new business, BLOCC, but struggling to find her footing. She turns to an old friend for support. Maybe it's Nathan (Kendrick Sampson)? Meanwhile, Molly considers jumping back into the dating pool, but her heart may not be fully healed from her break-up with Andrew.
