The holiday is officially over, but there are plenty of Presidents' Day mattress sales still up for grabs today. As we've seen in previous years, many mattress brands are extending their holiday discounts through the end of the week with big deals on top-rated memory foam, hybrid and organic mattresses.
For example, leading sleep brands including Nectar, Saatva, DreamCloud and Tempur-Pedic are still discounting up to 50% off mattresses tested and rated by Tom's Guide's certified sleep experts for our best mattress guide, so there's still time to buy a good mattress for less.
One of the best Presidents' Day mattress sales this week is an exclusive deal on our top-rated luxury hybrid, the Saatva Classic. Today you can save $400 on the Classic with prices from $895 at Saatva, plus you get a year's sleep trial, a lifetime warranty and free old bed removal. That's excellent value. For smaller budgets we recommend The DreamCloud Hybrid, an affordable hotel-style mattress that's now up to 50% off — a queen size DreamCloud is reduced to $665 at DreamCloud Sleep.
While Presidents' Day doesn't always offer the lowest prices of the year (those come on Black Friday), todays deals offer much cheaper prices than standard monthly mattress sales we may see next month. Here are the best deals to shop in this year's Presidents' Day mattress sales, with beds at budgets to suit every person...

Presidents' Day mattress sales: Top 5 editor's choice
1. Saatva Classic Mattress: was $1,295 now $895 @ Saatva
The Saatva Classic is an innerspring hybrid mattress that delivers serious luxury hotel vibes for the home. My team and I stand behind the Classic as the best hybrid mattress for most sleepers at any time of year, as even when it isn't on sale this handcrafted natural and fiberglass-free bed is exceptional value for money – you'd pay a lot more for it in an actual store. I love the Classic's combination of an opulent Euro pillow top, with layers of recycled steel coils and premium memory foam working together to reduce pressure points, boost breathability and ensure you have a comfy yet supportive surface to sleep on. There is a little motion transfer with the Saatva Classic, but nothin that concerns me. The mattress scored very highly in our Saatva Classic mattress review, with testers loving the lumbar crown for proper lower back support during sleep. You will feel the difference after just one night on this luxury mattress. The Classic is available in your choice of two heights (11.5" and 14.5") and three firmness levels (Plush Soft, Luxury Firm, and Firm), so there's a variety to suit every body). You'll also a year's free sleep trial, a lifetime warranty and free old mattress and bed removal for the price. In today's Presidents' Day sales, you can save $400 off every size Classic at Saatva, with a queen down to $1,595 (was $1,995). The last time I saw the price that low was during Black Friday, so today is the best time to buy the Saatva Classic.
2. The DreamCloud mattress: was $839 now $419 @ DreamCloud
We recommend The DreamCloud to people who want a Saatva Classic but can't stretch their budget far enough, as the DreamCloud is excellent at providing lasting pressure relief and lower back support – just like the Saatva. Our testers found it firm to begin with, but once broken in, this is a very comfy mattress for all sleeping positions. It's perfect for couples too as it doesn't transfer a lot of motion from one side to the other. Overheating is a big disturber of sleep, but The DreamCloud is breathable – no more searching for a cool spot during summer heatwaves (read Tom's Guide's DreamCloud mattress review for more on this). As part of an extended flash sale, you can buy The DreamCloud from just $419 (was $839), with a queen reduced to $665 (was $1,332). You'll also get free shipping, and a year's sleep trial and lifetime warranty, as with the Saatva above.
3. Helix Midnight Mattress: was $936 now $702 @ Helix
Save 25% + free bundle: As part of its Presidents Day mattress sale, Helix is taking 25% off sitewide via coupon "PDS25". Even better, all deals come with a pillow set, mattress protector, and sheet set. After discount, you can get the Midnight (twin) for $702 (was $936) or the queen for $999 (was $1,332). In our Helix Midnight Mattress review, we said the hybrid mattress delivers the comfort and support you'd expect of a pricier model. It's also an excellent choice for side sleepers, with memory foam that relieves pressure by cradling pressure points along your body. Meanwhile, the mattress' coils offer a little bounce, limit motion transfer, and boost airflow to keep you cool as you sleep.
4. Sleep Number i8 smart bed: was $3,399 now $2,379 @ Sleep Number
This year's Sleep Number Presidents Day mattress sale is enormous at up to 50% off, making now the best time to buy the Sleep Number i8 smart bed, which holds a spot on our list of the best smart mattresses. Sleep Number beds are on everyone's wishlist because they are packed with tech to help you sleep better. While they do provide sleep tracking, we're more drawn to the automatic pressure relief and firmness adjustments — the smart bed tailor's itself to your body. Even better, your side will feel totally different to your partner's side of the bed, so this is an excellent mattress to save you from sleep divorce. We recommend the Sleep Number i8 to all sleepers who have the budget and the need for a mattress that takes the guesswork out of firmness levels, comfort and depth of pressure relief. After discount, the twin is $2,379 (was $3,339), whereas the queen is $2,799 (was $3,999).
5. Emma Hybrid Comfort: was $812 now $409 @ Emma
The Emma Hybrid Comfort is the latest mattress by Emma Sleep, and it's also one of the cheapest hybrid beds from a leading mattress manufacturer on sale this President's Day. The Emma Hybrid Comfort is a 13" mattress featuring cooling technology to dissipate excess body heat during sleep, so you enjoy deeper sleep for longer and don't overheat in bed. While the cheaper Emma Original (priced from $329 at Emma Sleep in today's deals) is the best choice for side sleepers needing soft contouring, the firmer Emma Hybrid Comfort is ideal for back and stomach sleepers as it will keep you on top of the mattress to prevent any dipping in your spine. After the sale offer has been applied, a twin Emma Hybrid Comfort costs $409 (was $812) and a queen costs $659 (was $1,319).
Presidents' Day mattress sales: Best value for money
The following mattresses are excellent value for money whatever the weather, so if you're shopping the Presidents' Day mattress sales for a good value bed, we highly recommend these...
1. Siena Memory Foam Mattress: was $499 now $199 at Siena Sleep
The Siena Mattress is nearly 50% off every month, so while this isn't an official Presidents' Day sale it's still fantastic value for money and one to seriously consider. The Siena Memory Foam is made by Resident Home, which owns Nectar Mattress (below), so there's a good pedigree here. Our testers rate the Siena as the best budget option overall, especially for people wanting a firmer memory foam mattress with good temperature regulation. The sleep trial is 180 nights compared to Nectar's 365 nights, and the warranty is shorter at 10 years, but otherwise this is an excellent sale.
2. Nectar Memory Foam: was $699 now $349 @ Nectar
The Nectar Memory Foam is excellent value for money at 40% off, and even though this is a sale we see most months, it's still one of the best you'll find this Presidents' Day. In our Nectar mattress review, we called the Editor's Choice mattress a tremendous value for the money. We found it's very comfortable (thanks to its five layers of memory foam) and it offers excellent pressure relief around your shoulders, hips, and back. Bonus points for offering an impressive 365-night trial and a forever guarantee. Currently, you can get the twin mattress for $349 (was $599) or the queen for $659 (was $1,099).
3. Cocoon Chill mattress: was $619 now $399 @ Cocoon by Sealy
If you're the type of person that gets warm overnight, this is the mattress for you. While many mattresses can wick away heat, in our Cocoon Chill Mattress review we found that the Cocoon Chill does the best job of actually keeping you cool overnight. We also love the mattress' ability to reduce motion transfer, so you won't notice when your partner gets up in the middle of the night. As part of its current mattress deals — the twin size is down to just $399 (was $619), whereas the queen is on sale for $699 (was $1,079). Plus, you get free pillows and a sheet set with your mattress purchase.
4. Emma Original: was $659 now $329 at Emma Sleep
This is one of the cheapest memory foam mattresses you'll find online in the Presidents' Day sales, and this saving is similar to the rock bottom prices of Black Friday. So now is a great time to buy the Emma Original. Hot sleepers should give it a wide birth as it can trap heat, but otherwise this is an excellent all-foam bed for side sleepers in particular, as well as others who enjoy good pressure relief and motion isolation. You'll get a year to trial it at home too.
5. Layla The Essential: was $549 now $349 at Layla Sleep
Layla Sleep's budget mattress is well-suited to back sleepers and people who normally sleep solo. During our Layla Essential Mattress review we found it lacked good motion isolation and edge support, so we wouldn't recommend it to couples, but otherwise this is a good value memory foam bed from a top-rated sleep brand. A queen costs just $499, which puts it at just $100 then the Siena Mattress. Buy the Essential during Presidents' Day sales and you'll get 50% off Layla's breathable bamboo sheets too.
Presidents' Day mattress sales: Hybrid
1. Nectar Hybrid: was $749 now $539 @ Nectar

5. Nectar Premier Hybrid: was $1,349 now $799 @ Nectar
Nectar's 2023 mid-tier hybrid bed uses both memory foam and 8-inch innerspring coils to offer maximum comfort and support for most types of sleepers. Nectar includes free shipping, returns, and a 365-night trial as well as a lifetime warranty. After discount, the twin costs $799 (was $1,349), whereas the queen costs $1,099 (was $1,799).

Use coupon code "PRES" to take $500 off all mattresses. After discount, the twin is $999 (was $1,499), whereas the queen is $1,399 (was $1,899). It's one of the best mattress sales we've seen from Big Fig.
9. Leesa Sapira Hybrid Mattress: was $1,349 now $1,012 @ Leesa
The Sapira Hybrid is one of Leesa's best hybrid mattresses, made from premium materials and assembled in America. In our Leesa Sapira Hybrid mattress review we rated it as a medium to medium-firm mattress and think it's suitable for lightweight side sleepers. It also performed exceptionally well when testing for motion isolation, which will appeal to restless sleepers (or those just sharing a bed with one). However, temperature regulation and edge support were merely satisfactory, so consider upgrading to the Chill model at up to $200 more. After discount, you can get the twin for $1,012 (was $1,349) or the queen for $1,499 (was $1,999).

Presidents' Day mattress sales: FAQ
When is Presidents' Day 2024?
This year Presidents' Day falls on Monday, February 19, which is less than a month away. Based on previous sales, we expect most Presidents' Day mattress deals to begin the week leading up to the holiday. Some could start as early as February 1. After Presidents' Day, mattress prices start to slowly increase again until Sleep Week.
Do stores offer Presidents' Day mattress sales?
Major mattress stores always run Presidents' Day sales, and some of them can be as good as the mattress deals we see online. However, unlike online shopping, you'll need to physically travel to a brick-and-mortar store to see what discounts they're offering.
If you prefer in-store shopping, we encourage you to ask the sales staff the following questions to make sure you are getting a good deal and fair purchasing terms:
- What is the MSRP of this mattress?
- What is the lowest price you have sold it for recently?
- What trial period does it come with?
- What is the warranty period?
- What is your refund and exchange policy?
- Do you offer free shipping?
- Do you offer old mattress removal either for free or at a cost?
- How long does this Presidents' Day mattress deal last for?
Is Presidents' Day the best time to buy a mattress?
Presidents' Day is the first major retail holiday of 2024. So if you're in the market for a new mattress, sheets, or bedding, Presidents Day mattress sales are where you'll find the deals. That said, there are other times throughout the year where we see particularly strong mattress discounts. Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day are also excellent opportunities to purchase a new mattress. None of them come close to the discounts you'll see on Black Friday, but these holidays offer better-than-average discounts.
Are there Presidents' Day mattress coupons?
Mattress manufacturers occasionally offer discount codes that can help lower the price of your purchases. Some brands are upfront about their promo codes and list them on their respective websites. Others have the tendency to hide them. Make sure to check out our coupon guides for the best: Nectar promo codes, Tempur Pedic promo codes, Purple promo codes, Casper promo codes, DreamCloud coupons, and Awara promo codes.
Presidents' Day mattress sales — DreamCloud
Previous sale: If you're on a budget, but still want an excellent hybrid mattress, DreamCloud makes the best hybrid mattress you can buy. In our testing, we found that it's a great alternative to Saatva (the current hybrid champ) and costs hundreds less. In our DreamCloud review we called it the best option for back and stomach sleepers who need a firmer sleep surface for healthy spine alignment.
2024 sale: On an average day you can save 40% on most DreamCloud mattresses. However, during last year's holiday season the manufacturer took 50% off with prices from $449 (twin) and $799 (queen). That sale is back right now, but with lower pricing. You can get the twin for $419 and the queen for $665, which is a new price low for DreamCloud's mattress. We recommend buying now as this deal will sell out soon and won't likely return for awhile.

Last month, Purple offered deals from $599 for its entry-level Original Purple Mattress. It's current sale has the same bed from $799, which doesn't match is November discount, but is still a reliable deal for anyone looking to buy a Purple bed.
2024 sale: Today's holiday deals are taking up to $800 off mattress and base bundles, which is their biggest dollar-off discount so far in 2024. In addition, the rarely discounted Purple NewDay mattress is on sale from $495.

Previous sale: Nectar makes our favorite value mattress: the Nectar Memory Foam. 2024 sale: Right now Nectar is knocking 50% off during its flash sale.
