4th of July sales are still happening across various retailers. If you're in the market for a new 4K TV, need to upgrade a kitchen appliance, or shopping for a new mattress — now is the time to buy.
However, like all retail holidays, you'll need to shop with caution since you're bound to encounter some mediocre sales. Additionally, Prime Day will be held on July 16, which means means another round of price cuts is just around the corner. If you're shopping specifically for Amazon hardware, such as a new Fire TV, I recommend you hold off until Amazon's event. Otherwise, 4th of July sales offer broader and steeper discounts as it's a retail holiday where various stores participate, not just Amazon.
One of the best deals right now comes via Best Buy. The retailer has the newly released LG 48-inch B4 4K OLED TV on sale for $799. This specific size is a Best Buy exclusive and it's the least-expensive OLED right now. Additionally, there are plenty of 4th of July mattress sales you can get right now. For example, the Nectar Memory Foam Mattress is on sale for $649. It's our top pick for best value mattress and an incredible bargain at this price.
There are plenty more 4th of July sales you can get right now, so below I'm rounding up the best deals on devices that we've tested, recommend, or offer the best value. Likewise, each 4th of July sale listed has been price checked, analyzed against that item's price history, and highlighted only if it's a good deal. Make sure to bookmark this page as we list the best 4th of July sales happening now through the end of the holiday. Also, check out our best 4th of July sales live blog for up to the minute deals.

- Saatva: 15% off $1,000 or more
Nectar: was $699 now $349 @ Nectar
40% off! Our favorite value mattress is now 40% off in Nectar's latest sale. In our Nectar mattress review, we called the Editor's Choice mattress a tremendous value for the money. We found it's very comfortable (thanks to its five layers of memory foam) and it offers excellent pressure relief around your shoulders, hips, and back. Bonus points for offering an impressive 365-night trial and a forever guarantee. Currently, you can get the twin mattress for $349 (was $599) or the queen for $649 (was $1,099).
Nolah Original 10" Mattress: was $649 now $599 @ Nolah
Two free pillows! The Nolah Original 10" is the company's most affordable option, but don't let its budget price fool you. It offers long-term durability, pressure relief, and optimal cooling. In our Nolah Original 10 mattress hands on, we said it's great if you sleep on your side and like the hugging sensation of memory foam mattresses. Use coupon "TOMSGUIDE50" to take an extra $50 off sale prices. After discount, the twin costs $599 (was $649), whereas the queen costs $891 (was $941). During checkout, add "TOMSGUIDE50" as your coupon to get this price.
Casper One Mattress: was $875 now $695 @ Casper
The Casper One is the most affordable option in the reinvented Casper mattress range. It replaces the Casper Original, offering similar levels of contouring to gently hug your curves without sucking you down into the mattress. We're in the middle of testing the Casper One, but from what we've seen so far this is a great mattress in a box for people wanting a breathable, all-foam bed with a medium-firm feel and good pressure relief. Casper's sale beats the discounts we saw during Black Friday, so we doubt this will be increased for Independence Day. In other words, there's no need to wait on this one. After discount, you can get a twin for $695 (was $875) or a queen for $995 (was $1,245). It comes with a 100-night trial, 10-year limited warranty, and free shipping.

However, our Beats Studio Pro review found the clamping force high, which may affect comfort levels for some wearers.
Price check: $299 @ Walmart | $299 @ Best Buy
Sony WH-1000XM5: was $399 now $348 @ Amazon
The XM5 are Sony's premium noise-cancelling headphones and our pick for the best headphones on the market. How to find the best 4th of July sales in 2024
As with all holidays, Independence Day will be filled with both good and bad deals. But with a little due diligence, it's possible to find the best 4th of July sales on the items you want. Here are our tips and guide to finding the best deals during the 4th of July.
- Always comparison shop: Practically every retailer offers 4th of July sales. As a result, we recommend that you always comparison shop — no matter what you're buying. If you're shopping for a new 4K TV, look at deals from Best Buy, Amazon, and Walmart. If you're in the market for new kitchen appliances, check out Kohl's, Amazon, Home Depot, and Lowe's. That way you'll see who has the lowest price on the item(s) you want.
- Use price tracking tools to weed out fake deals: Shoppers have an arsenal of tools to help them weed out bad 4th of July sales. One of our favorites is CamelCamelCamel. Although it only works on Amazon, it can give you the price history on just about any item sold on Amazon. We find it especially helpful for tech items like iPads, 4K TVs, and more.
- Beware fake reviews: It's something every shopper does: We find something we want to buy and we google reviews for that item. However, shoppers should be very cautious with the reviews they read because there are a lot of fake or paid for user reviews out there. So if you're spotted a few 4th of July sales you're intent on buying, make sure you do your homework and rely on reviews from multiple users and not just users who leave glowing reviews.
Prime Day vs. 4th of July sales
4th of July sales are a great opportunity to save money. However, Prime Day deals will likely come some time in July. (Amazon has yet to confirm an exact date). If you're looking for a new Fire TV or new Echo, we strongly recommend you wait till Prime Day to make your purchase. Otherwise, rest assured that you're likely getting the better bargain on Independence Day.
