Tom's Guide Verdict

The Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow promises a keen balance of soft and firm with a blend of natural Talalay latex and microfibers. It's deceivingly supportive and delivers subtle pressure relief for the head and neck. (However, like Coop's other adjustable fill pillows, you'll need to fluff it often.) Most sleepers should expect to remove a bulk of the fill from this overstuffed pillow, which also includes an extra half-pound bag of cross-cut latex. (Make sure to save the box it comes in.) At a starting price of $139, it's competitively priced for a latex pillow — and the generous trial and warranty periods add to the overall value.

Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow review in brief

Released in February 2025, the Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow is the latest addition to the brand's noteworthy lineup. Packed with a blend of cross-cut natural Talalay latex and microfibers, this sustainably-made pillow promises responsive support and a cooler night’s sleep.

Coop Sleep Goods already appears on our best pillows list twice, so is it time to make room for the Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow as well? Our tester slept on a queen-size pillow provided by the brand for one month to find out. If you’re short on time, here’s our 2-minute review...

Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow specs

Type: Adjustable (cross-cut natural Talalay latex and microfibers)
Best for: All positions, warm sleepers
Sizes: Queen (29x19"), king (35x19”)
Trial: 100 nights
Warranty: 5 years
Price: from $139 at Coop Sleep Goods

Our reviewer had two experiences with this pillow, hence the longer testing period. For the first two weeks, she thought she needed to stuff her pillow with the included half-pound bag of fill for a higher loft because the pillow kept going flat when sleeping on her side. This left her with a sore neck.

However, after a consultation with one of Coop's sleep experts — a service that's available to all customers at no cost — she realized that a mid-loft was what she needed to sleep comfortably on this plush pillow. The latter two weeks showed a marked improvement in her alignment.

The Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow comes packed with a blend of cross-cut natural latex and microfibers for a feel that's similar to down but with a bounciness that cradles the head and neck, no matter your sleep position. You may find that you don't need as thick of a pillow as you think.

It doesn't trap heat, either. The pillow is wrapped in a cover made of cotton, recycled polyester, and spandex. Combined with the latex-blend fill, this helps air flow through the pillow. Our tester didn't overheat once on this pillow, even with a pillowcase.

The cross-cut latex is easy to mold, but it's also prone to losing its shape after a night of sleep. This is an issue we've had with other Coop adjustable pillows. You'll need to fluff this pillow regularly to keep it at a comfortable level. (Alternatively, you can pop the pillow in the dryer on low heat for a few minutes for the same effect.)

With a starting retail price of $139 for a queen-size, this is one of Coop's most expensive offerings, although it's priced competitively for a latex-based pillow. The extras make it a good value for money, too — a 100-night trial, a 5-year warranty, and the aforementioned consultation if you need assistance with setting up your pillow.

Our tester strongly suggests taking full advantage of the trial and consultation, especially if you're new to shredded latex pillows. Her patience paid off, and now she's started to reach for her plush Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow over her denser memory foam pillows at night.

Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow: was from $139now from $111.20 at Amazon

Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow: was from $139 now from $111.20 at Amazon
If you want to save money on the Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow, head to Amazon, where a queen-size pillow is $111.20 (was $139), and a king-size is $127.20 (was $159). That matches the all-time low we saw during Coop's Sleep Week Sale. Amazon purchases don't qualify for Coop's 100-night trial, but you'll still receive a 5-year warranty.

Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow review: Price & deals

  • Price ranges from $139 (queen) to $159 (king)
  • Sales are rare but it was recently 20% off for Sleep Week
  • 100-night trial, 5-year warranty, and free expert consultation

The Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow costs $139 for a queen-size and $159 for a king-size. Sales are rare, but we did spot a 20% discount during Sleep Week, which dropped prices for each size to $111.20 and $127.20, respectively.

Amazon also sells the Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow and is more likely to sell it at a discount. However, buying from Amazon means you won't get the 100-night trial Coop offers when you buy directly from its store. (Amazon's return policy for this pillow is 30 days.)

Although the prices may seem steep, Coop Sleep offers a 100-night sleep trial and a 5-year warranty. You can also schedule a free virtual consultation with a Coop Sleep expert who will advise you on how to set up your pillow.

The comparable Avocado Green Adjustable Latex Pillow is similarly priced and regularly on sale. (A queen-size usually sells for $116 after 10% off.) Like Coop, Avocado offers a 100-night trial but only a one-year warranty.

The Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow is packed with an 80/20 blend of cross-cut Talalay latex and microfiber. An extra half-pound bag of fill is included to increase the loft or if you want to refresh the pillow.

The inner liner that houses the fill is 100% polyester, while the outer cover is a blend of cotton, polyester, and spandex. According to the brand, the polyester is made from recycled bottles.

The pillow is Greenguard Gold Certified, ensuring a low level of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for indoor air quality.

Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow review: Performance

  • Easy to set up, but finding the right loft may take some time
  • Buoyant and supportive, although it may lose its shape easily
  • Breathable materials help it sleep temperature-neutral

Our lead tester slept on a queen-size Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow for four weeks, evaluating its ease of setup and maintenance, overall comfort and support, and temperature control according to our pillow testing methodology. Here's what happened...

Setup

Our Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow arrived in four business days, which was within the brand's advertised delivery window (2-4 days).

The pillow comes rolled in plastic but not vacuum-sealed. Still, we needed to give it a good fluff after unfurling it. Coop suggests leaving the pillow to expand for at least a day, but our tester wanted to sleep on it that night, so she put it in the dryer for 40 minutes on low heat. This left her with a warm, fluffy pillow.

There's a half-pound bag of spare fill included, in case you want to increase the loft or refresh the pillow. However, the pillow arrives overstuffed, so we recommend keeping the box it came in (or finding another bag) so you can store that excess.

The brand provides instructions for tailoring the pillow to your body and sleep style. If you need help adjusting your pillow at any point, you can schedule a free online consultation with a Coop Sleep expert.

Overall, the setup was easy, but tailoring the pillow to our tester's ideal level of comfort was a continuous process. We'll elaborate on that in the next section.

Score: 4 out of 5

Comfort & support

For the first two weeks, our tester struggled to get comfortable with the Coop Sleep Latex Adjustable Pillow. It would flatten during the night, so she thought she needed to add the entire bag of spare fill to suit her side-sleeping position.

After the second week, she contacted Coop Sleep’s pillow expert, Tami Lamb, for a free consultation to help pinpoint the issue. While our tester was so focused on the firmness and loft, Lamb noticed that her head was tilting slightly upward due to “pillow pinch,” where the fill shifts upward under the weight of the sleeper's head.

Lamb's solution was to remove nearly a pound of fill. Although our tester was hesitant to flatten her pillow so much, she did find it more comfortable afterward. Her head was finally parallel to the mattress, not slanting upward.

Post-adjustment, our tester enjoyed the bouncy support of the Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow, and she no longer woke up with neck pain. This new loft also worked well for back sleeping, but our tester had to remove more fill to make it suitable for stomach sleeping. (She did push some fill to one side for a makeshift combi-sleeper pillow.)

The latex gently molds to the neck and head, but once the fill disperses, it leaves a small dent in the pillow. We placed a 10lb weight on the pillow for five minutes, and once we removed it, we noticed an uneven surface where the weight had been. You'll need to fluff this pillow nightly.

Score: 4 out of 5

 Spinal alignment

(Image credit: Future / Alison Barretta)

Our tester sleeps on a Cloverlane Hybrid Mattress with a medium-firm feel. The plushness of the Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow complements the firmer mattress nicely.

Since this is an adjustable pillow, the appropriate level of fill for proper spinal alignment will be different for everyone. Once our tester figured that out for herself, she benefitted from the pillow's cushioned lift.

However, the latex-blend fill shifts a lot during sleep, so you'll need to fluff the pillow every night before bed to maintain good alignment.

Score: 4 out of 5

Temperature control

(Image credit: Future / Alison Barretta)

During the first week, our tester slept on the Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow as-is to experience the full effects of its cotton-recycled polyester cover. From the second week onward, she wrapped it in a cotton pillowcase to see if it affected the pillow's breathability.

Either way, our tester maintained a comfortable temperature throughout the night, which isn't all too surprising considering this pillow's materials (cotton, polyester, cross-cut natural latex). The cover feels soft against the skin, so you can forgo a pillowcase if you want, but we recommend using one for better sleep hygiene.

For most people, the Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow should at least sleep temperature-neutral, but if you have extreme night sweats, the Coop Cool+ Adjustable Pillow, with its cool-to-touch cover, may be a better bet.

Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow review: Durability & care

  • Coop's best-quality pillow in terms of materials
  • The outer cover is machine washable
  • The pillow will require regular fluffing

Build quality

Our tester has tried all three of Coop's adjustable pillows and ranks its adjustable latex pillow number one in build quality.

That's not to take anything away from the others, but with its soft cotton-blend cover and plush yet supportive construction, the Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow looks and feels like a pillow that's worth its high price tag. We also like that it didn't have a potent off-gassing smell upon unboxing.

Natural latex is known for its durability, and Coop does include a 5-year warranty. With proper care, it could possibly last well beyond the average lifespan of a pillow (1-2 years).

Score: 5 out of 5

Care & maintenance

The outer cover is machine-washable in cold water on a gentle cycle and can be put in the dryer on low heat; the inner lining is spot-clean only. Our tester laundered the outer cover after the second week per the care instructions and had no issues with shrinkage or pilling.

As for daily maintenance, you'll need to fluff this pillow daily — our tester sure did. It's a stark contrast to the Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Adapt ProAdjust Pillow, an adjustable memory foam pillow that holds its shape most mornings.

Score: 3.5 out of 5

Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow review: User reviews

The Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow was released in February 2025, so user reviews are sparse. As of this writing, Coop Sleep features three (5-star) reviews, but over at Amazon, there are over 50 reviews for an average of 4.6 stars out of 5.

Customers praise this pillow for its supportive comfort and quality materials. The handful of negative comments call out its high cost and uneven support due to the fill moving around.

We'll be updating this section as more user comments filter in.

Should you buy the Coop Sleep Goods Adjustable Latex Pillow?

Buy the Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow if...

✅ You want a bouncy, squishy pillow: The Talalay latex will cradle your head and neck for lifted support, and since it's shredded, it's easy to mold the pillow to your liking.

✅ You occasionally sleep warm: Between its breathable cover and shredded natural latex fill, this pillow doesn't trap much heat. If you don't quite need the frills of a cooling pillow, this is a sound option.

✅ You want great perks: Factor in a 100-night trial, a 5-year warranty, and a complimentary pillow adjustment consultation and this is an excellent value for money.

Don't buy the Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow if...

❌ You want a firmer pillow: The Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow is on the softer side of medium. For a medium-firm level of support, try the Coop Original Adjustable Pillow.

❌ You don't want to fuss with fluffing: You'll need to be diligent in fluffing this pillow because it'll flatten after a night of sleeping on it. The Purple Harmony Pillow has a similar feel but generally maintains its shape.

❌ You're not patient: Adjustable fill pillows are convenient once you hit that sweet spot of comfort and support, but it may take time to find that balance here, especially if you're not used to sleeping on shredded latex.

The bottom line

Our tester was ready to write this pillow off before she took the time to adjust it properly. Now she's starting to choose it over her other, firmer memory foam pillows.

This is a soft, supportive pillow that'll feel lovely to drop onto after a long day, granted you find the right level of fill for your needs. Just be prepared to vigorously fluff it daily.

Avocado Green Adjustable Organic Pillow: from $109 at Avocado Green

Avocado Green Adjustable Organic Pillow: from $109 at Avocado Green
The Avocado Green Pillow has a similar feel to the Coop Adjustable Latex Pillow — bouncy yet soft — but at a slightly lower price point with more eco-friendly certifications and featuring 100% organic materials. It comes in three sizes (standard, queen, or king) as well as an ergonomic alternative for side sleepers. Also included are a 100-night trial and a one-year warranty.

Saatva Latex Pillow: from $165 at Saatva

Saatva Latex Pillow: from $165 at Saatva
This is another natural latex and down alternative pillow, but the side gussets here help the pillow keep its shape every night. It's not adjustable, but you can choose between a mid-loft (4-5") and a high loft (6-7"). It's rarely on sale, and the extras are underwhelming (45-night trial, one-year warranty), but for a consistently comfortable pillow each night, we say it's worth the cost. Coop Cool+ Adjustable Pillow: from $139 at Coop Sleep Goods

Coop Cool+ Adjustable Pillow: from $139 at Coop Sleep Goods
For the same price as its adjustable latex pillow, you can grab this pillow stuffed with cooling gel-infused plus-shaped memory foam and wrapped in a soothing heat-wicking cover. It's also dual-sided, with one side featuring a firm layer of phase change gel memory foam. However, you'll still need to fluff this pillow daily to help it maintain its shape and support.
