Walmart is selling a queen size cooling mattress for under $98 this Presidents' Day, but is it worth buying?
Can a $98 mattress really help you sleep better? We take a look at this super-cheap Presidents' Day deal and what it offers

This Presidents' Day has seen some of the most competitive mattress deals we've seen with hundreds of dollars worth of savings rolling out across some of the most prominent retailers. One deal that has caught our eye is a queen-size Zinus Cooling Airflow 8" Hybrid Mattress for $98 at Walmart.
While it's unlikely to match the performance of any of the top recommendations in our best mattress guide there are some interesting features here. The Zinus Cooling Airflow 8" Hybrid is made with individually wrapped coils for support and airflow memory foam to keep you cool while sleeping. That's unusual for a cheap foam mattress.
If you're after something more luxurious, take a look at the latest deals from brands like Saatva, Nectar, DreamCloud and more in our Presidents' Day mattress sales guide. We're also tracking all the latest Presidents' Day mattress deals live as and when they arrive.
Zinus is well-known for producing some of the best affordable mattresses on the market. Like the best hybrid mattresses, this bed combines individually wrapped coils with a top layer of ultra-breathable Airflow memory foam to provide a comfortable and cooling sleep. Zinus also boasts that this mattress is a healthy option, highlighting its CertiPUR-US certified foam and OEKO-TEX certified cover, making it free of harmful chemicals. This mattress will be shipped boxed to your door, meaning you'll reap the practical benefits of the best mattresses in a box, and it's covered by a 10-year warranty. However, you won't get a sleep trial so you'll need to be sure of your purchase. While we haven't tested it ourselves, its been highly rated by buyers, earning a 4.4 star rating on Walmart's website. We think this would be a great buy for a spare bedroom, but if you're sleeping on it every night, you might want to opt for a more durable, luxury feel.
Price history:
The MSRP for this mattress is $159.99 for a queen, with this new discount bringing it under $100 at $98 which is impressive even for a cheap mattress. As this is an older model, it can't be bought directly from Zinus.
If you have a bigger budget, you can opt for the new-gen model, the Zinus Cooling Green Tea Memory Foam mattress, available at Zinus for $449 (was $899.99). You'll also get a 10-year limited warranty and free 90-day returns.
