Samsung’s latest AI washing machine almost does the laundry for you
Clever thinking that makes your everyday life easier

Samsung’s latest washing machine is super intelligent — so much so that it can almost do your laundry for you. Just unveiled at the IFA 2025 tech show in Berlin, Samsung’s new Bespoke AI Washer is among three new products showcased at the event.
This latest launch is more evolution than revolution, with Samsung essentially updating the first generation of the AI Bespoke Washer with some extra features. That's no bad thing; we reviewed the first generation last year and awarded it 4.5 stars. It's our current pick for the best washing machine you can buy so hopes are high for this new model.
What we know about Samsung's latest Bespoke AI Washer
The second generation of the Bespoke AI Washer delivers greater energy savings, boosting an A-65% energy efficiency rating — 10% above the previous model. That’s 65% less energy than the minimum energy efficiency requirements for a Class A rating in the European market. According to Samsung, this is all possible due to enhanced motor efficiency and refined washing and circulation algorithms.
A washing machine that thinks for you
What’s more, the new washing machine also features AI Wash+, and does the thinking for you. It intelligently adapts to an expanded range of fabric types, including denim and outdoor wear. It detects the weight, soiling level, and fabric type, then automatically adjusts the amount of water and detergent, along with the wash time. And the outcome is the optimal laundry results, without having to worry about how much detergent to use, or if your clothes will come out clean.
It’s good news for those looking for an efficient appliance that saves resources and reduces their energy bill, while making everyday life just that little bit easier.
More color choice
Samsung has also given us an additional color option: Neat White now joins Dark Steel, so if your washer is on show and not hidden within a laundry room or behind closed doors, you can coordinate other appliances. Both versions include Samsung’s 7-inch touch screen that’s designed for an improved user experience, as well as integration with SmartThings, Samsung’s home app.

The Bespoke AI Washer also makes its debut with a matching dryer in Neat White, which includes AI Dry+, and detects fabric type and moisture levels for the optimal drying time and energy use, which Samsung claims reduces both energy consumption and drying time by 20%.
Smart thinking for easier living
The concept behind Samsung’s AI vision is to make the technology part of everyday living. And if this vision includes making my laundry easier, I’m all in.
“At Samsung, we’re not just imagining the future of AI; we’re building it into everyday life, ”said Cheolgi Kim (CK), Executive Vice President and Head of Digital Appliances (DA) Business, at Samsung Electronics.
We’re yet to hear when the latest rendition of the Bespoke AI Washer will be available in the U.S. or how much it'll cost when it does arrive. But we will report back when Samsung gives us the details.
