Last weekend in Monaco, the 19-year-old extended his lead at the top of the F1 Drivers' Standings to a foreboding 66 points thanks to a dominant win and another disastrous day at the office for teammate George Russell. It's now five wins in a row for the Italian youngster, and you wouldn't bet against him making it six straight victories in Barcelona today.

Unlike four of those victories, however, he won't start this one from pole position. Russell dusted himself down after his Monaco malaise to post the fastest time in qualifying. Next to him on the front row is the Ferrari of Lewis Hamilton — the seven-time world champion is going from strength to strength, bagging two second-place finishes in succession. He's topped the podium six times at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya before (up until this year it was the venue for the Spanish G.P.) and will now hope to finally seal his first victory in the famous red car.

Champion Lando Norris completes the second row of the grid, with the double Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar in fifth and sixth respectively. Having won Grand Prix here in 2006 and 2013, Spaniard Fernando Alonso starts from last position this time around.
