Three years after Richardson was banned from competing at the Tokyo Games after testing positive for THC, a prohibited substance under the World Anti-Doping Agency rules, the American finally got the chance to compete on the biggest sporting stage of them all in Paris. The American eased into the 100m final but had to settle for silver after finishing behind Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia.
Richardson will now have another opportunity to win that elusive gold medal as she will be part of the 4x100m relay team. In yesterday's heats, Richardson helped her team post the fastest time of 41.94 as they showed that they are the team to beat. Today the final will take place at 1.30 p.m. ET / 6.30 p.m. BST.
