How to choose the best Google Pixel 6 case for you
If you're looking to choose the best Google Pixel 6 case for your needs, you'll have to decide whether aesthetics or functionality are more important. Choose a case that can either help reduce the damage your phone might take if you drop it, scratch it, smudge it, or otherwise expose it to adverse conditions. Or choose one that you think looks great on your phone (though even aesthetically pleasing cases offer some measure of drop protection).
Just make sure you keep an open mind when it comes to functionality, effectiveness, and price. Finding the best case that ticks all the boxes for you doesn't mean you need to buy the most expensive Google Pixel 6 case you see on the market. In fact, many of the best and most versatile picks are actually much cheaper than you might be expecting. You'll want to research these and take them into consideration the same way you would with other brands.
Also, make sure you're searching for cases specifically made for the Google Pixel 6 and not the Google Pixel 6 Pro. The two new models have different screen sizes, and the best Pixel 6 cases will only fit the 6.4-inch model, not the 6.7-inch Pro.
How we test the best Google Pixel 6 cases
When selecting which cases make it onto our list, we use a combination of our own and crowd-sourced testing to make our selects.
If we've tested the case ourselves, we'll have installed it onto a Pixel 6 and carried it around for several days, trying out any of the special features and generally judging how nice it is to use. We don't perform any of our own drop tests as we don't have Pixel 6s to spare, so bear that in mind when reading any durability claims made by the manufacturers above.
Where we haven't got the cases in ourselves, then we turn to customer reviews on sites like Amazon. If we can't check it ourselves, then we trust the voices of the average buyers to help us out.
Does the Pixel 6 really need a case?
In some ways, the Pixel 6 is already well designed to shrug off damage with its Gorilla Glass Victus construction. Even still, a case will prevent even minor blemishes to the phone's body like scratches and scuffs, particularly to the painted metal sides. If that's going to annoy you, get a case!
Which Google Pixel 6 case has the best drop protection?
Of the options we have on here, the Incipio Duo is our top pick for drop protection for your Pixel 6. Alternatively, you could go for the Caseology Parallax, whose grippy back and sides will act as a more preventative form of drop protection.
What is the best shockproof case for the Google Pixel 6?
For cases that'll protect your Pixel 6 from the most dangerous drops, we recommend you look at the Poetic Revolution and the Incipio Duo cases. Both of these are excellent when it comes to impact protection thanks to solid, durable builds. The Revolution is a much bulkier case overall though, which may or may not be to your taste.
Which cases will fit a Google Pixel 6?
Any case listed as designed for a Google Pixel 6 will fit your phone fine, but other Pixel cases will not. The Pixel 6a, 7a, 6 Pro and 7 Pro are all completely the wrong size, and a Pixel 7 case, while closer in size, will still be too small for your Pixel 6.

Arbie I need to know whether or not a case has the two small holes for a thin wrist strap / lanyard end-loop. Very difficult to find out because such a small detail rarely shows in pictures, and nobody bothers to mention it being present or not.Reply -
Spody2307 I bought a Rhinoshield case and those have it at the bottom of left side of the phone. Imo it's a pretty good feeling case, buttons are pretty ergonomic and you can buy multicolor buttons for the power button which gives it a pretty good look.Reply -
DougStang67 I picked up the Google Pixel 6 case when I got the phone. It's almost as slippery as the phone without the case. Also, after about 6 months of use, the case edges near the power & volume buttons started to warp and pull away from the phone, leading to debris getting caught. Also near the USB-C port, though to a lesser extent. Link to image: https://postimg.cc/mtrYkMmHReply -
DougStang67 The one from Google for the Pixel 6. You can see the "G" in the image if you check the URL.Reply
