Jess Evans
Jess Evans is not new to sports, she has been an athlete since she was 4 years old. That’s why it was not a surprise when she started her boxing career in 2012, quickly advancing and entering a Ringside World’s boxing tournament after only six months of training. Shortly after, she switched to Muay Thai and moved to Sydney, Australia, where she joined Bulldog Gym, home of the McKinnon brothers. Immediately Bulldog saw Jess’s potential and had her competing in Sydney two months later. Jess took away three state belts for her 52kg weight division and had a stunning KO with a spinning back fist in December of 2013, giving her the nickname “Pocket Rocket.” She has had 9 amateur Muay Thai fights with a record of 7-2 and an amateur boxing record of 2-1.
Since then, Jess has been dedicated to investing in her many career ambitions. She comes from years of production as an Associate Producer and is passionate about storytelling and cultural studies. She also has a deeply rooted desire to empower women and teach self-defense for prevention against domestic violence. For those reasons and more, Jess became a FightCamp Trainer in 2021 and is USA Boxing Coach certified.
In her spare time, you will find her exploring local coffee shops, reading a new book, staying active, or working on her next FightCamp workout program.
