Bill Borrows

Bill Borrows is a leading journalist, feature writer and columnist. His work appears in most U.K. national newspapers from the Daily Mirror to the Daily Telegraph but also in publications such as the Times Magazine where he has produced exclusive interviews with rugby legend Owen Farrell and heavyweight World champion boxer Tyson Fury. He has been a regular contributor to the prestigious Radio Times magazine (and online) for over 10 years and during that time, alongside cover interviews with major TV personalities, has covered programmes on everything from the Paralympics to poltergeists and the Qatar World Cup to the Iraq War. Work has also appeared in many other magazines, including Cosmopolitan, Marie Clare, Grazia, Vogue Hommes International and TimeOut.

In a previous life he was Editor-at-Large at Loaded and interviewed his mentor, Hunter S. Thompson. He was also Editor-at-Large at Maxim magazine and Contributing Editor at Esquire and launch editor of both TimeOut Manchester and talkSPORT digital magazine. He is the author of the best-selling The Hurricane: The Turbulent Life and Times of Alex Higgins - Sports Books of the Year The Times & Sunday Telegraph, Books of the Year New Statesman - and also editor for several sport-related books including the talkSPORT Book of Premier League Legends and co-wrote the talkSPORT 100 Greatest British Sporting Legends with a lot of help from fellow journalist Tom Bailey.

On television he conceived and developed the Posh Pawn TV series for Channel 4 and was Associate Producer on the award-winning Murder in the Outback for Channel Seven in Australia and Channel 4 in the U.K.. A frequent contributor for BBC Radio 5, talkSPORT and talkRADIO, his areas of specialisation include sport, history, politics, TV and film. He is currently writing a biography of the greatest detective of the Victorian period and doesn’t get much free time but does admit to an addiction to true crime podcasts, following Manchester City football team and a weakness for Spanish food.
